I don’t know what it is about quarantine that is making me gravitate to Whiteclaws, but I have had like at least one a day hahaha. Don’t judge me. They are hypnotizing me. So much that I decided to create my own recipe.
Before I start getting all the comments saying “Whiteclaw isn’t made from vodka”, I know that, okay? I realize they are made with some beer alcohol alternative that isn’t hard alcohol and isn’t beer, but obviously I can’t physically create and ferment all that in my home. Therefore, this recipe is made from vodka as the alcohol base, and oddly enough, it tastes VERY similar to a watermelon Whiteclaw. Adding a champagne floater on top, too, really helps achieve that alcohol alternative flavor and helps with the extra carbonation.
***KEEP IN MIND, YOU NEED TO INFUSE THE VODKA FOR AT LEAST FIVE DAYS. Other than that, this recipe takes 5 minutes!
Why watermelon? Watermelon has surpassed black cherry as my new favorite flavor so that’s why I was inspired to create this recipe with that flavor.
Here we go!
